Mark 2:1-12 (Ronnie Cordrey)
A group of men carry their paralyzed friend to the feet of Jesus, overcoming some significant barriers in the process. Assumedly, it was their hope that Jesus would heal the paralytic of his ailment, but to the surprise of everyone present, Jesus’ first action is to forgive the sins of their friend. Doubting his ability, some religious persons question Jesus, “Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
