After being stripped and severely beaten, Paul and Silas were thrown into jail. Instead of sulking, they started an all-night worship session. Soon a great earthquake shook the prison so hard the doors opened, and their chains fell off. Instead of fleeing into the night, they converted the jailer and his whole family to Christianity.
