introduced a new bill to reimpose a state income tax, part of a broader
proposal to address persistent state deficits. A labor department
program to help immigrants gain employment in Alaska has been restarted,
as hundreds of Ukrainian refugees are resettling here. And the City of
Nome is working with retailers to limit alcohol sales.
