As we begin the book of 1 John, Pastor Lance points to the transformative power of God at work in John's life. He went from a fisherman to being known as the "Apostle of Love". Upon leaving 2 Peter and starting the book of 1 John, there's much to be said in both of these disciples' lives that Jesus worked in and through them. In this letter particularly, John urges churches to stand firm in Christ's love against the philosophies of this world...a very relevant lesson for today's church also.
