Looking to the previous chapter, Joshua picks up as the Israelites cross the Jordan. Through His power, the Lord has brought his people into the promised land and has fulfilled the promise He made to deliver them. Joshua directs them to build a memorial out of twelve stones to remind them what the Lord has done on their behalf. Why is this necessary? Human beings are prone to forget.
As we look at the text, let us always remember that our God is faithful. Faithfulness is not something He wavers from- on the mountaintop, in the valley, and everywhere in between, our God is faithful. We hope this sermon blesses you in the Lord!
