Description

This conversation kicked off “The Relationship Series," and I truly wanted this conversation to be light, because I believe that people always add stress and added expectations on relationships, which make them heavy conversations. Therefore, I started with the topic of dating. Although this can be a heavy topic, essentially, I see it as a learning process, which means you receive valuable things from the experiences, which shouldn't make the conversations as heavy. Chelsie is a friend of mine that is very open to talking about her learning experiences and encounters, because she is free and stands in her truth at all times. Something I oh so love about her! Therefore, when it came to the topic of dating, it was a no brainer that she be a part of this conversation. Chelsie and I dove right in and discussed different levels of dating, her experiences with dating, some of her red flags in dating, and she closed with giving her sentiments on how and why she believes young, black females should be dating in 2020. One thing that I want to make the center of this conversation is Defining the Grey Area in Dating: Set the tone for what you expect, by standing for what you believe in from the start and use dating as a learning tool for finding love in a healthy and purposeful way.
