Fabric artist Martha Ressler’s series of art quilts explore places she’s visited and loves and themes that capture her commitment to making her world a better, more livable space.
Martha's “paintings” employ the skills and knowledge of composition in art: color, form, line, shape, space, texture, and value involving principles of balance, emphasis, harmony, movement, pattern, proportion, repetition, rhythm, unity, and variety.
Whether it’s planting 750 trees, organizing an artist in residency, celebrating the iconic images of Berks County or the Berlin Wall, or supporting local galleries through her involvement, Martha sews accord and artistic vision.
