Sickle cell is a disease common in the Black and Asian community. Sickle cell is a lifelong health condition requiring daily treatment. In this episode, Ara educates me on what it is and what life is like for her. Ara is such a courageous girl standing up and speaking about having sickle cell. She has now started her petition to get Sickle cell onto the Medical Exemption card. No one should have to pay to stay alive. Not everyone has enough money to spend every month on medication.
