The 2018 Farm Bill has made the farming of HEMP a legal commodity in the US and now users and manufacturers are creating an entirely new industry that speaks to homeopathic medicines and overall health and well-being. CBD can be extracted from hemp or from marijuana. Hemp plants contain less than .03 percent of THC. Marijuana plants on the other hand are cannabis plants that contain higher concentrations of THC.
Many new users want to know if CBD will get you high in the way that Marijuana will. It does not. THC is the main psychoactive compound in marijuana that creates the high you feel. Both compounds are able to interact with our bodies natural endocannabinoid system, but they have very different effects.
