Description

Through a game of chess with a monk, a Zen master teaches a prince vital lessons about life and how we might learn from those situations or people who seem to be opposing us. The prince and monk can be substituted by a business master and intern, parent and child, two lovers, or two friends. When we recognize the lessons, we grow. Sometimes it also means that those connections come to a close after we have learned the intended lessons. As you meditate on this story, you might consider placing yourself in the position of the prince, the monk, and the master in three separate meditations.
