Rabi’a (717-801) is a Sufi Saint from the city of Basra in Southern Iraq. Trying to describe her remarkable life took me way beyond my usual time constraints! Haha There are many different accounts for her life and different poetry that is attributed to her. To me, this reflects Rabi’a’s profound influence of a great variety of people. To all, she embodies Love and that is enough. Her devotion to God shines through the poetry attributed to her and I remain inspired by the beauty of her devotion and strength.
