We are joined by members of all four state championship teams from Hempstead. Mike Duenser from the 1974 state champs, Jeff Potts from the 1978 state champs, and Mark Gassmann from the back-to back-state champs from 1983 & 1984. They talk about Hall of Fame coach Dick Core and how he made them better and put them in the best positions to win. They talked about their teammates and those memorable games. The nerves of playing in the state championship game and those top teams and programs from the late 70s and early 80s. Lastly, they give tips to area preps on what it takes to be a state champion and advice to get to the top. This episode is for all fans of baseball.
