Kevin Rhomberg grew up in Dubuque, leading Hempstead to its first ever state championship.  After staring in two sports at Hempstead Kevin later went to win an NAIA World Series while playing for the University of St. Francis.  Kevin was later drafted in the 14th round of the MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians.  Kevin was a league leader in many offensive categories while working his way up through the minors.  Kevin spent three seasons in the big leagues and ended with a career batting average of 383 and an on base percentage of 423.  Many often wonder, with those stats, why did Kevin only last three years in the big leagues?  Kevin opened up about his time playing Major League Baseball.  We ended the podcast with some fun!  Kevin was voted one of the Most Superstitious Athletes in Sports.  We asked him about some of his stories to find out with they were fact of fiction.  Sit down and enjoy this podcast with a local legend who still holds many records at Hempstead since leaving roughly 50 years ago.
