Sydney Smith lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia where she continues to expand her art practice. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Clemson University, where she first began exploring the relationship between art-making and personal reflection. As a painter and printmaker, Sydney developed an interest in using natural elements and layer to communicate the complexities and realities of growth in the human experience. Her previous work served not only as a method of reflection, but it formed as a means to humanize, unify, and celebrate those navigating such a journey.
