Description

Stigma towards mental health exists within our own communities and active work needs to be done to rectify this. On the podcast, I have the priviledge to host Dr. Chris Murray, Psychologist working with our West Auckland communities. We discuss issues around access to healthcare and how our own communities can be barriers to people seeking support for their mental health. We attempt to unpack some of our cultural norms and discuss the benefits and negatives of collectivism and individualism. We also touch on the uncoming cannabis and end of life referendum and the possible implications it may have on us as New Zealanders. An interesting podcast with a lot of informative information.
