Faith and the rule of God are not an invariable combination. There are two kinds of theocracy and it is the Eastern version that predominates, even in the West, which for various reasons, has moved away from Western Theocracy as a model of government. All law-based systems of government are related to or versions of Eastern Theocracy. Eastern Theocracy is all ethical based systems which utilize the rule of law. The Bible refers to these systems as the way of the flesh, as ethical systems rely on physical force for enforcement and respond to the physical needs of mankind. Western Theocracy is a far different thing. But in the modern world we have lost sight of this fact and the church has adopted the Eastern model of theocracy and put itself under the legal jurisdiction of secular governments, which also are offshoots of Eastern Theocracy. This talk re-introduces the idea of Western Theocracy to Christians.
