Democrats are especially passionate about democracy. It is not mentioned in the Bible. No philosopher or scientist or intellectual of note, has ever argued the mob is smarter than the individual. Nor does anyone think that truth is established by the popular vote. No one leaves their future up to what a majority decides or spends their paycheque according to what a majority of persons think. God certainly does not ask us to choose by lot who goes to heaven. Yet, there appears to be a passion for democracy that does not reflect the observational data. We do not live like democracy is the best way to resolve issues. In fact it does not seem as if democracy is even used as a way to resolve disputes. Its use in elections is more about making us all complicit in the choice of who is elected, so we submit to whatever group forms the government, regardless of how evil they are.
