Mel Brooks adds a satirical twist to the story of Robin Hood in this adventurous tale. Robin Hodo returns to his home after fighting in the crusades to find his entire family has passed away. His entire land seems to have changed due to the work of the evil prince John who is the brother of King Richard. Robin Hood must form a band of merry man to save his land and the beautiful Marian of Bagelle from the clutches of the Sheriff of Rottingham and Prince John.
