Welcome back to Feasts of Film where we dine on the magical and mythical! Today Cole and Joshua dive into the recently released Wicked - Part 1!
The Wizard of Oz is a age old tale but this new spin puts us in the shoes of The Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba as she tries to navigate through life with untrained magical powers and putrid green skin. She stands up for others who have been shunned just as she has and she believes if she can meet The Wizard he can solve all her problems, to do that she ends up enrolling in Shiz University and meeting Galinda, a roommate and rival at the beginning of their tenure at Shiz that soon turns into an unbreakable bond. When she gets her chance to meet the Wizard she finds not everything is as it seems, will Elphaba get what she has wished for so long or is this just a tragic tale of what happens to the Wicked.
