Nate and Jessica talk about Servant of God, Nicholas Black Elk on the feast day of a saint he joined with other Native Americans in asking Pope Leo XIII to canonize, St. Kateri Tekwitha. They talk about his life before he converted to Catholicism, his spirituality, how he joined his Lakota Sioux culture with his Catholic beliefs, his visions, as well as how he lived his life after converting. They also discuss that we aren't exactly sure on what day he was born or died and about the fact that currently there are no official native born male saints from the USA. Also officially Servant of God is abbreviated S.D for the Latin Servus Dei, but SoG would be the English abbreviation.
