Key Takeaways:

Compartmentalize EVERYTHING (I will share actionable tips on how to do this)  - There is zero room for guilt and it serves no purpose - spending time feeling guilty is time wasted you could have spent with your kids/husband/business/your own self-care  - Learn to say no, but when to say yes. It's important to say no to many opportunities if they feel like a chore or don't benefit you, but it's also important to support other small fish and other moms trying to do what you're doing, so treading the line between valuing your time and supporting other mothers and women is delicate but necessary to master.

Guest Spotlight: Lisa Mastela

Lisa Mastela, MPH, RD is a registered dietitian with a Master's in nutrition and public health. She did research at the University of Washington on special needs children and type 2 diabetes, along with research on intermittent fasting at the University of Southern California. She then worked in personalized nutrition. After getting pregnant herself, she realized how difficult nutrition for expecting and new mothers is, so she founded Bumpin Blends, a company that makes and delivers dietitian-designed smoothie cubes to support the many symptoms of new motherhood. All a mom has to do is pour the Bumpin Blends cubes into her blender, add liquid, and blend, for a nutritious snack to help everything from fatigue and anxiety to leg cramps and swelling, and everything in between. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and busy toddler, Caroline, and loves hiking, yoga, and movie nights. She's expecting her second child this Fall!
