We argue all the time, whether it be a debate at school, a meeting that got a little too heated, or an emotional yelling match with our parents/guardians. Today, I explored with my family what it means to have productive arguments, particularly as a teen living with adults. I asked my brother about how his arguments with our parents go, then explored the other side of the story. Parents tend to think of teens as rebellious, and teens tend to think of their parents as unfair, but through my interviews, I hoped to find the key to unlocking a mutual understanding that might allow us to connect with the adults in our homes just a little bit more.
