Rufus sits down with Cook County Commissioner Bill Lowry and Francis Parker School Principal Dan Frank about the legacy of Joe Anderson.
"In commemoration of the 120th anniversary of our school’s founding, Parker will install prominent lettering and a plaque in honor of this person is an important and visible part of our school. The area in front of our school that we have called Circle Drive is now named Jo Anderson Drive.
The Board of Trustees made the decision to name our front driveway in November 2020, and I announced it to the Parker community at that time. This decision was informed by details I shared about this previously untold, yet important, part of our school’s own racial history, which was followed by my article published in the National Association of Independent School’s Independent School Magazine in Winter 2021." - Dan Frank
