My name is Safiyah Basir, I have been type one diabetic
since the age of 7. I come to you as the American Diabetes and Ambassador and
an Executive leader for the Tour De cure that’s happening June 10th of

My Hemoglobin A1C has been consistently within an incredibly
healthy range for several years and within the past four years between 5.7-5.4.
My most recent A1C is 5.4 which was taken about two months ago. I’ve started this
podcast to show all who are touched by diabetes that you can have and live a
healthy, full, limitless life with diabetes. I'll have a new episode every week
each Thursday. Today we have Kevin Caldwell, KevinT1D on instagram.
Kevin has been a type one diabetic since the age of three and has an in depth view with through his lived family and personal life experience. We're also speaking with Kevin about the amazing Facebook group called Type 1 Plant Based. This page dives into plant based living, the benefits, concerns, and overall goals.
