Jesus’ willing sacrifice at the cross was THE most selfless act ever to take place in all of time. The humility, the act of making Himself nothing on behalf of the world who does not deserve His mercy and turned their backs on Him is an act He did out of His eternal deep love for humanity even as we rejected Him and mocked Him. God still loves us! He gave His all for us.
And we are called to humbly imitate Christ. We are called to give of ourselves. We are called to be His servants and to follow in His example.
