God is teaching His people that they have no reason to fear for He is our God. We are His children and there isn’t anyone who can harm us for He is with us. God wants us to come to Him in our times of trouble. He longs for us to depend on Him that is why He said, “Do NOT be dismayed.” Because He is our strength, He is our hope, He is our refuge and in Him alone will we find rest for our souls for He is our God, our Lord and our King and there is NONE like Him.
