Often time’s people make the mistake of trying to embody God. I think
it is beautiful to want symbols of God and spiritual things to be a
part of your environment. Just remember that the cross on your wall is
a symbol, and the God we serve is bigger than it is. The figurine on
your mantel may look like the fleshly image Christ inhabited while he
walk this earth, but now Christ is bigger than that fleshly body. As
long as, we remember that God is bigger, mightier and more powerful
than all of these things, we will be able to grow in God. Growing in
