Welcome Back to Nuanced Beauty!

In today's episode we explore the nuance of Trigger Warnings. Are they helpful? Or do they cause someone to become triggered? Are opponents of trigger warnings the most triggered of all? Or are the real trigger warnings the friends we make along the way?

We discuss William Shakespeare's play Titus Andronicus which includes a lot of gore a brutal rape scene. We discuss the probable origin of this phrase in today's culture, and how I think trigger warnings sound very similar to Movie Ratings. Then we give a brief story about a recent college professor attempting to be compassionate by providing her students with a trigger warning, yet still being suspended for a time when a student was triggered/offended by the event.

Dear Listener, what are your thoughts about trigger warnings, and how has it evolved over time?
