We recorded this episode on Mother's Day afternoon. In the heart of nuance, we thought it'd be a worthy episode to take a minute to discuss the many moms and children out there struggling to celebrate this day because the motherhood relationship is a touchy one, or not quite what we had hoped and expected it to be. Whether adoption, miscarriage, divorce and blended families, death, or abortion are a part of the story, all of these reasons can make today a somber or bitter sweet one.
Meanwhile, can we laugh with those who laugh, and mourn with those who mourn? I genuinely think in the space of nuance we can connect with one another over hard things that don't quite meet the neat and perfect checklist of life.
