Welcome to Nuanced Beauty!
Consider this episode a new years reflection of what I've learned and what I'd like to improve.
-20 minutes of talking can be a LOT
-I now get why many podcasters co-host and interview - it's easier to be conversational!
-Time Utilization is nuanced. I'm reading less and sometimes have great thoughts come to me at inopportune times. So I write them down but then lose the passion behind my thought by time i get to it for podcasting.
-The dance with social media is totally nuanced. Here I am, over 2 years removed and trying to dabble with it again. Me, getting nuanced with a thing, sound like a familiar concept? I'm enjoying seeing updates of friends far away and who I'm not close with these days. But I also appreciate the intimacy I've found face to face with folks. But I also appreciate the good of connecting online. soooo nuanced. I'd like to grow my instagram @nuanced_beauty so that it is separate from my personal account. I've got plenty of friends who want absolutely nothing to do with listening to podcasts and I don't want to be that annoying friend bashing it over their heads.
-I'd like to incorporate guests and interviews this year, since some of my fave moments getting into podcasts were listening to a conversation and feeling like I was a part of it.
-My definition of nuanced beauty has expanded. Initially, it felt like my focus would be on helping individuals find the beauty in others in relationships, but I've realized that there's plenty of room for us to realize our OWN reactions to nuance and concepts, and how it impacts our behaviors and how we move forward.
Cheers to 2023 ahead.
