Pride is destructive, difficult to detect, and Proverbs tells us that the higher you lift yourself up in pride, the harder you’ll fall in disgrace. In other words, the bigger the ego, the harder the fall. It’s very easy to become obsessed with ourselves but how do we avoid the trap of pride in a culture filled with “selfies and self-help?”
