Liga table thanks to a 5-1 win away at Essen, before beat Bayer Leverkusen 4-3 in the DFB Pokal, St. Pauli endure another tough opening round but use their 10-men to beat fourth tier SV Straelen, whilst Hertha Berlin and Köln are other Bundesliga clubs who met their demise at the hands of lower league opposition.
