Each one of us has our own perception. You are unique and so your perception is unique. Not another like you and never will be. Another you cannot be made. You are perfect like a Faberge egg but others have convinced you you are not that.
They believe what they are telling you and so to them it is truth.
Truth is it is all perception. They are responsible for their response and you are responsible for yours. If you wouldn't rob anyone then that robber you saw on the news needs forgiveness. If you ate the pill then you know the truth and you wouldn not rob others so no one else does either. THAT is the Golden Rule in action.
It is a rule because you don't have to do it. You have to choose to turn the other cheek and forgive and see them as no less than or better than you. If you think you are good - then they are good too.
