I've been posting a lot about 'health and fitness' at the moment and I hope you are as fit as a fiddle and not as sick as a dog - in which case you may need a new lease on life.

These are just 3 useful 'health' idioms.

• as fit as a fiddle means you've got lots of energy. You're well and healthy.
• as sick as a dog means you're really very sick.
• a new lease on life means you have a new enthusiasm for life. Something has changed. You're feeling more positive and enthusiastic and you know where your life is heading.
