Our today's guest Arathi Rajagopalan , the founder of House of Kalart is a graduate from NIFT and also certified in jewellery making and Gemmology from SINGEM.
As a child, she had always been fascinated by arts and crafts. She would constantly draw designs on her school books, and she developed an interest in jewelry during her study of fashion designing. This led to combine two of her passions, art and jewellery, which became a stepping stone to her career.
Colors and textures not only inspire her, it also instigates a play of design in her head and to physically touch, hold and add character to something that was just an idea brings her immense joy. Her love for abstract art led her to create mixed media painting where she expresses through colors on a canvas.
With an experience of more than a decade of working in fashion shoots and movies, Style Consultation came as an off shoot of her continuous interest in fashion. She started House of Kalart as a venture where painting, drawing and embroidery is married with metalsmithing to create a well handcrafted fashion jewelry. Along with Painting and Styling, the venture aims to create a holistic fashion experience for a bold and dramatic woman!
