Description

"Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. 13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God." (Revelation 19:11-13) [1]

How has the Pandemic affected the census at Freedom Farm and other Residential Addiction Programs?

Today, Dr. Mark E. Shaw and Jim Quigley discuss current events. Jim is a Commissioned Addictions Biblical Counselor with The Addiction Connection and serves on the Board of TAC.

Why has the number of admissions gone down significantly for residential programs lately?

Is it because people have been sobering and exhibiting less addictive behaviors?

You'll hear an anecdote about a trend Jim is currently seeing in choices made by addicts.

He also discusses the unintended consequences of giving people access to quick money in the form of government support. Jim referee to 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
