Tal Weinberger, MD is clinical associate professor and outpatient medical director for the Department of Psychiatry at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She also maintains a secondary faculty appointment in the department of OB/GYN. Dr. Weinberger completed her undergraduate studies cum laude at Yale University, and attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a fellowship in cognitive behavioral therapy at the Center for Cognitive Therapy in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. She is founding director of the Jefferson Psychopharmacology Specialty Services, a specialized outpatient clinic which provides supervision, teaching, and clinical care in the psychiatry department. She volunteers as a consultant for the perinatal psychiatry consultation line for Postpartum Support International, providing phone consultation to providers about questions regarding perinatal psychopharmacology She lectures and has several publications within the field of women's mental health.
