When it came to pre interview and post interview, Ranielle is a very intellectual person who has a eye to seeing both perspectives of what it means to be both Filipino and American. Through out this process of reclaiiming his Filipinx Identity, he mentioned that, "you need to understand the culture of the Philippines (more than just the stereotype of eating rice with your hands or getting beaten by the nearest object); it’s understanding why we are the way we are, what the country went through (all of the colonization and what they went through to be." and that is the importance of it. As an aspiring law/immigration lawyer, he wants to make an accessible path for the rest of the FIlipinx diaspora.
