Her advice to the next generation to our Filipinx diaspora is to always to Keep learning the language-- a lot of young people are forgetting their native language and our language is such an important part of our culture. There are a lot of resources available so don't be scared to seek out help. And what my teacher had told me “Never forget your roots, but don’t let it hold you back.”
