It's fitting especially for 1st to however many generations of Filipinos in the US. Most of the time, values and norms get lost in translation so we don't necessarily tend to drill the importance of the simplicity of language or values that is of our own Filipino identity. So just ask your grandparents, parents and those that came before you stories that made them who they are as Filipinos. It's shocking to know that they used to be this completely different person and if ever more, rewarding to get to know how youre built as a Filipino.
But don't stop there, dig deeper.
