Miguel Paulo F. was born in Mandaluyong, Manila, and spent most of his childhood in Cavite. His family - his mom, him, and his younger brother - moved here to Hawaii on March 23, 2010. He is now based in California where I am currently finishing my last year of college by interning at the State Capitol as a Legislative Intern for the UC Center Sacramento. He will be graduating this June with a degree in Science and Technology Studies and a minor in Asian American Studies. He talks about how ever since he moved he never felt more connected to his Filipino culture, He mentions how in order to stick to his roots, by cooking my favorite Filipino dishes and keeping up with Filipino news through social media.
