Hardworker, Resillient and Kind Hearted, Angelika was born and raised on the island of O’ahu to Filipino Immigrants. Grew up specifically in Waipahu, where she was surrounded by the majority of the Filipino community. Recently graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA with a B.S in Kinesiology - Exercise Science, with a minor in Biology where she was involved in club organizations like Nā Hoaloha O Hawai’i, Asian Pacific Islander Student Association and the Northwest Filipino-American Student Association and held executive positions. She never had an interest in my culture and its rich history until she had left home and attended college. ‘Till this day, She continue to strive and learn more about myself, my family and the history about my fellow Filipino community with hopes of reclaiming my own narrative and the stories of others as well. Kasamahan Co, (previously named Reclaiming FIlipinx Identity)  is a platform that not only amplifies voices of Filipinos in Hawai'i but is also a platform that serves to create stories that seeks to create sustainable outlets that showcases our cultures, contextualizes Filipinx narratives and prompts dialogues. Our conversation speak to diverse experiences, identities and talents that are often overlooked, supressed or erased.
