Description

A conversation with a Filipino immigrant who immigrated to the Kingdom of Hawai'i with his siblings and parents through the petition of his family. Clyde is a first generation Filipino who is the first in his family to received a higher degree with a Master in Electric Engineering. You can say he achieved the "American Dream" that his families has dream for him. Most children of immigrants desires to give back to their parents to be the "hope" of their family. Through Clyde's narrative he openly shared about his struggles that he had to go through as he tried to assimilate and "play the game" to fit in to the society without losing his sense of identity and culture.
