-Jean's flat is waterlogged, so is here to stay at the Meldrew's
-Jean's accompanied by her pet cockatiel Nicky - which will cause no end of stress for Victor and Margaret
-Newspaper editor Mildred Herring's cock-up results in Victor becoming temporary editor of a local newspaper which'll have its consequences
-Victor's gone all 'zen' thanks to a bit of "reflexology"
-Mr. Swainey has a brief rendezvous with Victor at the hospital as well as welcoming him at his Dickson of Dock Green appreciation society evening
