Today I talk about regulatory capture 🚩. Regulatory agencies exist to serve to protect the public, however over time they instead start to promote the interests of the companies they regulate. Holding our regulators accountable and stopping conflicts of interest are of high importance to guarantee that regulators do their job of protecting the public effectively.
