On this edition of The Sports King Show, I open the show with the "Royal Rant" in regards to Major League Baseball and the disastrous negotiations that have transpired. This comes after Commissioner Rob Manfred said last week that baseball would be back 100% only to reverse course this week and say that he was doubtful that baseball would return this season at all. We open up the phone lines and take calls from around the country on the state of baseball and the possible return of Colin Kaepernick to the NFL.
In Hour Two, we welcome Shepherd University Head Football Coach Ernie McCook who discusses the challenges of Coaching and keeping a team together during the Coronavirus. He talks about the incredible 10-3 campaign of a year ago and why his team has been so successful. He discusses why student athletes should choose Shepherd University as a destination and why it's great from both an athlete and fan perspective.
We discuss how he has handled the racial aspects that are affecting the country and how he is making sure his team is heard in all ways. We close it out by looking ahead to the 2020 campaign and what he expects this season for his Rams. We close it out with a recap of the top stories of the day.
