On today's edition of the Sports King Show in Hour One we discuss all things about the team formerly knows as the Washington Redskins. We dive head first into the breaking news about the scandalous, inappropriate and toxic atmosphere at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Virginia. We have now learned that 15 women have come forward in a scathing Washington Post article that speaks of a tense environment with women feeling pressured to dress in a revealing provocative way.
The culture has been bad since 2006 and it finally reached a breaking point in 2020. They have fired key people with more on the way. There is a lawyer that will be conducting an internal review and there is more scrutiny that will be forthcoming from the NFL. This situation is evolving and it comes on the heel of a tumultuous week following the news that the team will now change its name after 87 years being known as the Washington Redskins.
In Hour Two we are joined by former coaching great Bud Foster who was the mastermind of the Virginia Tech Defense. We talk with coach about his career and his health and all of the things he is up to now. We discuss Michael Vick and what he meant to the program at Va Tech and about his poor decision making that led to his downfall. We go over his on-field relationship with Frank Beamer and how the two made it work for all of those years. I ask Coach if he feels there will be a 2020 season and ask if he will consider a return to the sidelines if the NCAA or NFL came calling. We close it out with his take on the state of college football. We end the show with a statement from Redskins Owner Daniel Snyder and a look at the Nascar and PGA schedule.
