Professor Abraham Erskine created Captain America. He guides him and believes in him throughout the story.
Red Skull represents the evil in the story. He opposes Captain America in everything he does.
The Hero
The Unhealable Wound
Bucky and Captain America were best friends before and after the transformation. When Bucky dies, Captain America becomes distraught and bitter.
Captain America is young, wise and unlikely for the task at hand. Physically weak.
Call to Action- Dr. Erskine finds Steve

and tells him that he has a solution to

his problem.

Mundane world- Steve wants

to join the war effort but cannot

due to health issues. "4-F"

Hero's Journey metaphysical expose' and simultaneous cover-up.

Master of Two Worlds-

He sacrifices his life

to save others.

Crossing Threshold- Steve is given the

super soldier treatment and becomes

Captain America.

Captain America follows many archetypes found in the history of literature. Some examples are the characters. Captain America as the hero and Red Skull as the villian. It also shows many situational archetypes.

Path of Trials-

Chase down a man stealing. treatment.
Rescues a group of soldiers.
