Today, we continue on in the book of Joel chapter one where we begin to see that there was a famine of joy and gladness in the hearts of God's people. What is the remedy for a heart that has turned cold to the Lord? As we see in Joel, the Lord calls us to repent. We can also ask the Lord to restore the joy of salvation to us, and create in us a broken and contrite heart. Be encouraged in knowing that, even in times of judgment and in calls to repentance, our gracious God calls his people back to seek His face.
