Calm confidence P2: 1 John 3 19-24
1. The Introduction: As a believer are we living before our heavenly Father in calm confidence?
1.1 Big Idea: Look at two facts from 1 John ch3 vv19-24 that shows us we are living before God in calm confidence that pleases Him (19-24)
2. The first fact is: our hearts don’t condemn us (19-21)
3. The second fact is: our obedience to God’s commandments (22-24)
4. Conclusion: the exhortation: Now that we have looked at these two facts from 1 John ch3 vv19-24 to see if we are living before God in calm confidence that pleases Him – are we (19-24)
Reflection: Are you living before God in calm confidence that pleases Him? If your heart does not condemn you; you are living before God in calm confidence that pleases Him. If you are obedient to God’s commandments; you are living before God in calm confidence that pleases Him. If you are not living before God in calm confidence that pleases Him according to the two facts – will you repent?
